There is an exuberant freedom in designing your own weapon of doom. Yeah, go ahead and pop three missile launchers on top. That's totally...
Rise & Shine is a small quiet title from Super Awesome Hyper Dimensional Mega Team (badass name, right?). The game is a unique blend of bullet-hell, platformer and arcade shooter. Think I Wanna Be The Guy but less infuriating and way better looking.
I'll be honest, I haven't really given much thought about the mouse that I use on a daily basis. As long as it clicks the right buttons and moves the cursor around, I'm not overly fussed. Well, that's what I thought anyway until I actually tried my hand at a more higher-end mouse, namely the Mad Catz RAT 8. But does all these bells and whistles really make that much of a difference?
The Last Guardian - a name that has been known by many for years now. One that evokes emotions and sometime tears as the long-awaited release of this title has been one that people have longed for. Now in 2016 the legendary title which was feared to never actually release has done just that. With such a long development process and a wait years in the making how does The Last Guardian stand up in the sea of recent release that have made this year one to remember in gaming? Does the legacy of Ico and Shadow of the Colossus continue within The Last Guardian and is Trico a creature to love or fear?
Nintendo continues to dip their toes into the mobile gaming scene with the much awaited release of Super Mario Run, the first official Mario game to be released on mobile devices and one that hopes to deliver that classic Mario feeling to the masses. With that in hand Super Mario Run has been a success from its download numbers alone. Having now spent a good few hours with Super Mario Run I think it is time to weigh in on the debate and decide if Super Mario Run is a worthy addition to your mobile device even with such a steep asking price...
After ten long years Final Fantasy XV has finally released. Ten years is a long time to wait for anything, let alone a game release. First announced back in 2006 as Final Fantasy Versus XIII, the game has been through a long and rocky development process. Now, ten years later, the rebranded Final Fantasy XV is out. With such a long development fans have witnessed the game change over the years through promotional material and more. With a large amount of content on the cutting room floor and around three different versions of the story having been conceived, Final Fantasy XV has been a project that was sometimes feared to never see the light of day. With so much history belonging to the title that is no longer a fantasy how does it hold up. With more hours than any other game this year I think I’m finally able to answer that question.
Seemingly infinite freedom in intricately crafted spaces helps propel this stunning sequel beyond the reaches of it's predecessor - but it's not perfect.
Welcome to the region of Alola. The newest home for the Pokémon series as once again trainers of all ages take up the challenge to become the very best. Pokémonn Sun and Moon brings a lot to the table both new and old for gamers to lose themselves in. In truth it has been a long time since I last played a Pokémon game. The last one I played was Pokémon White back on the Nintendo DS. Roll forward to today and I’m sat with too many hours put into Pokémon Sun on the Nintendo 3DS and I can’t help but say I love it. With so much being different though just how has Pokémon evolved to be so solid and enjoyable in it’s latest instalment?
Steep is an extreme sports game like no other thus far. It brings wingsuits, skiis, snowboards and paragliding all into one tidy little bundle. You'd think a game with so many different styles of play, it would be a bit of a flustercluck, but you'd be wrong.
Mark McMorris is a young Canadian snowboarding sensation, winning the men's Winter Olympic Slopestyle 2014. McMorris is set to follow strongly in Shaun White's, snowboarding legend, footsteps. Bright young talent just getting started in his career, man does he have a long way to go!
Although I'm an impartial observer of the Watch Dogs series, I was assured that the sequel to Ubisoft's 2014 "hacktion" game didn't require any prior knowledge of the last game. So with no idea what exactly to expect I took a nose dive right into the hipster-populated world of Watch Dogs 2's San Francisco to stir up some trouble with nothing more than a laptop.
