Angry Birds developer Rovio has revealed more on their upcoming Angry Birds title, Angry Birds Stella, which is set to land on mobile in September. Angry Birds Stella is “fun, feisty and always up for a challenge” says the developers, and will be joined by five friends on Golden Island, a new location in the Angry Birds universe.
Bringing a much more pink vibe to Angry Birds, Angry Birds Stella follows the same concept as all of the other games in the series with players having to sling-shot Stella and friends into structures built by those Bad Piggies, the game also utilises Telepods that were introduced in the Angry Birds Star Wars games which allow players to purchase physical toys that unlock characters in the game.
“The Stella story will engage and entertain everyone – it’s about courage, fun and daring to be you, with a spirit of female heroism and friendship.” Reads the announcement. “Each character is unique and powerful in their own way but together they cause even more mischief, take adventures to new heights and prove that true friends are there for each other through every battle.”
Angry Birds Stella is set to land on mobile in September, a more definitive release date it yet to be announced.
