Following the launch of Rainbow Six Siege, Ubisoft’s multiplayer-only shooter, many have aired their grievances over the single player options, or lack-thereof. Despite the game being a multiplayer-focused title, many still wanted an offline single player mode. Fortunately in Ubisoft’s next multiplayer game, a single player campaign will be included.
Announced at E3 in 2015, Ubisoft shocked everyone with For Honor a grand-scale hand to hand combat game featuring some of history’s greatest warriors. At the event Ubisoft touted the game as a multiplayer title with four-on-four battles taking place in amongst some fantastic looking scenes. This has of course left players worried that it would repeat some of the shortcomings of Rainbow Six Siege, but in a new video, Ubisoft has confirmed that a single player campaign will be available in the game.
In a recently-released producer highlights video, Producer Stephane Cardin confirmed that a full solo campaign will feature in the game. This was indeed touched upon at E3, but did quickly fly under the radar.
“One of the big questions we receive in feedback is about the solo campaign,” Cardin says in the video. “We said that we will have a solo campaign, and I can promise you that we will have a solo campaign. It’s one of the key subjects we are working on, on the floor. I can’t wait to show stuff to you guys, and we’ll do it as early as possible, like we did with the multiplayer.”
Although its mostly a fantastic title, Rainbow Six Siege does have a few issues on the multiplayer front, with dodgy servers and high wait times, players are likely pleased to hear that Ubisoft’s next multiplayer title will include a solo campaign and that focus seems to be spread equally on the two.
For Honor is set to launch on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. A release date for the game hasn’t been set.
