There’s no surprise that the charts remain pretty much identical to last week’s results. Christmas is over, the new year has rolled in, and we’re all back to work. We haven’t seen any new releases so far this year and the Top 10 remains pretty much intact apart from Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition kicking Just Dance 2014 down from eighth to ninth place.

FIFA 14, of course remains on top with Call of Duty: Ghosts to follow, the remainder of the top 7 remain unchanged too with Assassins Creed IV: Black Flag in third, Battefield 4 in fourth, and Grand Theft Auto V in fifth.

Grand Theft Auto V remains to be a strong seller too, it’s currently the fourth biggest selling game ever in the UK according to UKIE, who reveal that if sales within the next three months remain strong it could soon become the biggest selling game of all time.

In sixth place we’ve got Need for Speed: Rivals, seventh sees LEGO: Marvel Super Heroes, eight sees the aforementioned Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition followed by Just Dance 2014 in ninth and finally in tenth place Sony’s Gran Turismo 6.

The charts saw a handful of re-entries with Saint’s Row IV, Ryse: Son of Rome, and  Tomb Raider, jumping into the top 20 in sixteenth, eighteenth and nineteenth place, respectively.

With the next big releases being Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Z and Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition on January 28, it may be safe to say that the charts won’t be changing much until February. We’ll see eh?
