Breaking Bad is over and we’re literally just getting over the heartbreak that was the final episode. For those of you who are sad that the likes of Walter White and Jesse Pinkman will no longer be gracing your screen, never fear as Netflix has you covered – sort of.
Coming in the new year, Breaking Bad spin-off series ‘Better Call Saul’ will be launching on AMC, it doesn’t actually feature Walter and Jesse but it does feature the crooked lawyer Saul Goodman, played by Bob Odenkirk, in the years before he became Walter White’s attorney.
Soon after the first season has aired on AMC it’ll be available exclusively to streaming members in Europe and Latin America shortly after its airing in the U.S, beginning in 2014. Those of you in the U.S. and Canada, the complete first series of “Saul” will be available to Netflix members after its season finale on AMC Networks.
“’Breaking Bad’ is widely recognized as one of the great TV experiences in this new golden age of television,” said Ted Sarandos, Netflix Chief Content Officer. “It has also proven very popular with Netflix subscribers around the world. This spin-off promises to continue its tradition of powerful storytelling. We are proud to be in business with Sony Pictures Television to bring Saul Goodman to our subscribers around the world.”
There are no details as to whether Brian Cranston (Walter White) or Aaron Paul (Jesse Pinkman) will be making any cameo appearances, but it seems unlikely as the show is based before Saul Goodman ever met either character. But who knows?
