Since the retirement of Google Reader, Feedly has become probably the best as well as the most used feed reading service. A few weeks ago Feedly announced their Feedly Pro service which allowed users to access specific features such as the ability to search your feeds, HTTPS security, and Evernote Integration. At the time it was only available for a $99 lifetime fee, but now they’ve finally introduced their subscription model at $5 per month or $45 per year.
Feedly have now introduced Pocket integration too which allows you to “one-click-save” to your Pocket account. This is added to the ability to search your feeds, one-click-add to Evernote and Premium support.
Right now for the price they’re asking for, you don’t really get a lot, but the way I see it is that you’re investing for the future with Feedly. Since the retirement of Google Reader the service has improved no-end and I only hold out hope for more improvements thanks to this subscription model.
