According PC Gamer the job listing which was swiftly removed read:
“Rockstar Leeds are currently looking for a talented graphics programmer to help bring our latest titles to the PC platform. Working together with the other Rockstar studios, you will be responsible for maintaining the studio’s uncompromising quality bar, delivering the highest quality PC experience possible.”
If we look at the latest games in Rockstars catalogue the only two games that haven’t/wont be making a PC appearance was Red Dead Redemption and the upcoming GTA V. Red Dead Redemption is a fair few years old so it’s looking a little unlikely that this would be the game a new staff member would focus on.
Since the announcement of GTA V, Rockstar have been more than vague about the inclusion of the game on PC and next generation consoles, something which this job listing contradicts with the post also mentioning “working with skilled developers on Next Generation games”.
Unfortunately for now we have no news whether a PC release is going to happen any time soon and even though we’ve had Amazon listings leak the PC box art Rockstar have still stuck firmly with their “nothing to share” statement.
