Kenneth McCulloch, the 42 year old Precursor Games developer has been arrested on child pornography charges, according to an official release from the Niagara Regional Police Service.

Company CEO Paul Caporicci confirmed on the company’s forums that McCulloch is no longer associated with the studiom in the strongest terms.

“Having just learned of these disturbing charges today and based on the serious nature of them, Ken McCulloch is no longer affiliated in any way with Precursor Games.”

A search warrant was executed by local police at McCulloch’s residence in St. Catharines, Ontario yesterday, seizing what was reportedly a ‘significant’ number of computer systems and external devices. The police began investigating McCulloch in April.Kenneth McCulloch

The charges include one count each of possession of child pornography, making child pornography available, and accessing child pornography.

McCulloch was a founding member of Precursor Games and was previously listed on the company’s website as “Lore-keeper. World-Builder. Dream-merchant.” As you can imagine, his employee profile has since been taken down. Since the incident, a Precursor Games representative has issued a statement to GameSpot on the matter:

“We are deeply upset by this. Having just learned of these disturbing charges today and based on the serious nature of them, Kenneth McCulloch is no longer affiliated in any way with Precursor Games.”

The police investigation is ongoing.
