rambo imageOne of my favourite movies growing up was the Rambo movies staring no other than Silvester Stallone. The movies each surrounded John Rambo and his attempts at single handedly defeating entire armies – seriously, it’s true. So for all you Rambo fans out there it’s time to rejoice because on the 3rd of May this year, Rambo: The Video Game is coming to current gen consoles and PC!

Rambo: The Video Game will be a fixed-perspective, first-person shooter & action game that puts players in the combat boots of John Rambo on a violent journey through iconic action sequences from the original three legendary Rambo movies: Rambo: First Blood, First Blood Part II, and Rambo III.

Key elements from each of the three movies will form the basis for authentic Rambo gameplay comprising shoot-outs, stealth killings, demolition, knife-play and more. The game will also consist of destructible terrain, cover-based shooting and rag-doll physics to no doubt retain 1980′s action cinematic experience.

Publishers Reef Entertainment also announced last week that Rambo: The Video Game will include dialogue from the original movies to keep the game true to the movies. The game will feature the original movie voice-tracks of John Rambo (Stallone) and Col. Samuel Trautman (Richard Crenna).

The release date hasn’t officially been announced, but the pre-order page on GAME and Amazon.co.uk states that it’ll be released in the UK on May 3rd for all three platforms.
