A little over six months ago Google started to offer Play Store gift cards in US retail stores. Now it’s finally time for the UK to get them as well as they are arriving this week. Available in denominations of £10, £25 and £50 they will make it a bit easier to give the gift of Google. As it stands there is no restriction on what content can be purchased using the cards meaning that full run of the Google Play store is on hand.
Over the coming weeks, gift cards will go on sale in all UK branches of Tesco and Morrisons.
The gift cards will be available in denominations of £10, £25 and £50, and can be redeemed against digital content purchases on Google Play, including music, magazines, books, movies and apps.
There is no word on if any other stores will be picking up the gift cards any time soon but Morrisons and Tesco are good starting points. As for online retailer there is no word at the minute but we will keep you posted.
What do you think of the gift cards?
