WATCH_DOGS is set to be released at the end of this year, and with the PS4 announcement last night came a new trailer. It has been confirmed for PlayStation 4 so this is one of the many titles to look forward to, but it will also be available on Xbox 360, PS3, PC & Wii U…

The above trailer is a look at the open world gameplay and as I’ve said many a time, I love open world games! This magnificent looking game was first announced at E3 2012 and by the looks of it Ubisoft Montreal have been hard at work on it. You play as Aiden Pearce, an antihero who can use Chicago’s Central Operating System to his disposal. Hacking and surveying people, places even transportation to help you in whatever it may be doing.

Hacking into surveillance equipment will stop any recognition of you and in turn will stop any potential police activity heading your way, similarly you can use the camera to your advantage when scoping out a room; look for targets, or potential hostile threats.

Within the video is a chase sequence, this is probably what impressed me the most. You can tell there’s an influence from everyone’s favourite assassin, Connor. But it’s done somewhat differently, Aiden moves in a different way. The climbing and turning tight corners is all done smoothly and is a seamless transaction from indoors to outdoors.

Overall the video looks very impressive and I really look forward to seeing more from WATCH_DOGS and Ubisoft Montreal. Let me know what you think of this trailer and the game in general in comments below!
