Tyranny of King WashingtonThe folks at Ubisoft have been firing quite the DLC our way recently, The Battle Hardened Multiplayer DLC was released on the 9th January. But now the much anticipated Tyranny of King Washington has been given a release date, the PC and XBOX 360 will be able to get this prestigious DLC from the 19th February with the PS3 following a whole day on the 20th. As per usual the Wii U has not been given a release date as of yet, but Wii U player expect that. I assume.

The Tyranny of King Washington will be split into three separate parts. The first being ‘The Infamy’ then ‘The Betrayal’ and finally ‘The Redemption’. All I’m sure you’ll admit have pretty cool sounding titles!

It’s 1783 and the American Revolution is over, our hero, Ratonhnhaké:ton, awakens from an unsettling dream to find that despite his efforts to deliver justice in the newly-founded United States of America, a new king has been crowned – George Washington. Blinded by a thirst for unlimited power, Ratonhnhaké:ton must dethrone the tyrant and return freedom to the land. (source - http://assassinscreed.ubi.com)

The thought of playing an alternate history is quite exciting. Everyone loves a what if this happened scenario, and what Ubisoft have done is given you the perfect example of that.

As you can see from the pictures, as well as the new story line there seems to be a new outfit for Connor. Now this may be strictly for promotional purpose. But if it isn’t, boy does it look cool!

Each part of the DLC will be priced at 800 Microsoft Points or £7.99 on PS3 and PC now to save money and practically get the DLC for free you should get the Assassin’s Creed 3 Season Pass for 2400 Points or £23.99 and this will also come with the Battle Hardened DLC and The Hidden Secrets DLC which features single and multiplayer expansions.

Are you as excited for The Tyranny of King Washinton as I am? Tell me what you’re expecting and hoping to see when it’s released in the comments below. And remember to mark your calendars appropriately!
